In 2022, the Town of Hague transformed its seasonal arena into a modern, year-round facility through a $1.3 million upgrade project. At the heart of the improvements was the replacement of the original sand floor with a concrete slab incorporating an in-floor cooling system, allowing for consistent ice maintenance during rink seasons. The project also featured the construction of a new ice plant facility, upgraded electrical systems, a new header trench, and the installation of new arena boards. Walkways and bleacher areas were also improved to enhance the overall user experience. These upgrades not only modernized the space but also extended the life of the mechanical systems, delivering a more versatile and sustainable recreational hub for the community.
