The heart of Watrous saw a significant transformation in 2023 with the revitalization of Main Street between 1st and 4th Avenue. This $1.75 million project brought modern infrastructure and streetscape improvements to three core blocks of the downtown area.

Work included the installation of 165 metres of storm sewer, 1,600 square metres of new concrete walks, 760 metres of curb and gutter, and 7,000 square metres of fresh asphalt paving. Streetscape upgrades also featured a 550 square metre unit-paved amenity strip, new underground electrical, decorative street lighting, site furnishings, and above-grade planters to enhance the pedestrian experience.

Through design engineering and project management services, the team ensured a smooth construction process while delivering a cleaner, more welcoming, and pedestrian-friendly Main Street that aligns with the Town’s vision for a vibrant downtown.
