The Village of Vanscoy undertook a $250,000 rehabilitation of its SPS No. 2 sewage pumping station in 2022 to improve system reliability and performance. The project involved replacing the aging main sewage pump, along with the associated suction and discharge piping. Additional upgrades were made to the station’s ventilation and electrical systems to bring the facility up to modern standards.
Working within the tight confines of the existing structure posed a significant challenge during installation. To address this, the contractor prefabricated many system components off-site, reducing the complexity of on-site work and minimizing time spent in confined spaces. The result was a more efficient, dependable wastewater pumping station designed to meet the community’s current and future needs.
