In 2018, the Town of Rosthern teamed up with C&W to upgrade two critical sewage pumping stations, investing $2 million in essential wastewater infrastructure improvements.
The project included the demolition of Sewage Pumping Station No. 1 and the construction of a new facility adjacent to the original station. The new station was designed to accommodate larger sewage pumps capable of managing increased design flows and was equipped with a backup generator to maintain operations during power outages.
Upgrades at Sewage Pumping Station No. 2 focused on increasing pumping capacity through the installation of larger pumps, along with enhancements to heating and ventilation systems. These improvements have significantly boosted the sanitary system reliability and capacity to serve the community’s current and future needs.
