Carolyn graduated from Civil Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan in 2015 after previously completing a Biochemistry degree in 2010. Throughout university, Carolyn worked several summers as a surveyor’s assistant and site inspector for Catterall & Wright. Carolyn began working with Catterall & Wright full-time in 2015. She entered the field inspired by her father and grandfather. The opportunity to join the Catterall & Wright team left Carolyn humbled to continue their legacy while motivated to forge her own professional path. She was motivated to pursue a career where technical skills combined with personability to provide ideal problem-solving.

Carolyn has been involved in a variety of municipal engineering projects with Catterall & Wright, including several multidisciplinary projects, such as Biggar’s Main Street Revitalization, Optimist Hill Snow Park, Melfort’s Spruce Haven Park, and several infrastructure rehabilitation projects throughout Saskatchewan. Carolyn’s favourite design projects are infrastructure rehabilitation work, especially optimized pavement designs. Carolyn’s perspective offers creativity in design that is not common among civil engineers and has been especially effective in streetscape and grading projects.

Carolyn is a Professional Engineer with APEGS, and is in the process of becoming a Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) with Construction Specification Canada (CSC). Carolyn has been a volunteer with the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies of Canada – Saskatchewan since 2020, currently serving as the Chair of the Careers in Consulting Committee. Carolyn has also volunteered as an industry mentor for students at the University of Saskatchewan for several years. Through her involvement in Catterall & Wright’s Social Committee and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committees, Carolyn strives to maintain an excellent workplace culture and experience for all team members at Catterall & Wright. Outside of work, Carolyn loves keeping active with her beautiful kids: golfing, hiking, camping, skiing, wrestling, and playing soccer. She also expresses creativity with her love of cooking.
