The Co-op cardlock facility is located adjacent to existing fertilizer and bulk storage facilities in the RM of Meadow Lake No. 588, located 3 km northwest of the City of Meadow Lake on Highway 55. The project involved estimating traffic generated by the development, reviewing current traffic volumes and collision data from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure, and analyzing existing and future traffic conditions.
The scope included projecting trip generation and distribution, assessing impacts on Highway 55 and site access points, evaluating the need for turning lanes and intersection lighting, reviewing sight distance and access management, and preparing cost-share estimates for required intersection improvements.
