Eric’s passion for engineering was sparked in grade 12 when he spent a week at Catterall & Wright, experiencing life as an engineer firsthand. Following his high school graduation, he was given the opportunity to join the team as a summer student and returned each summer during his degree. Eric graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2018. This early exposure solidified his interest in the field, leading him to pursue a career with the company that first introduced him to engineering.

Throughout his career, Eric has developed a strong foundation in engineering through extensive surveying and on-site inspections of numerous municipal infrastructure projects. As a project engineer, he has become responsible for delivering engineering solutions to various municipalities across Saskatchewan. His field experience has equipped him with a practical construction approach to design problems, allowing him to effectively work within the constraints of each client. Eric’s expertise includes the design and project management of water and sewer infrastructure, storm water management, streets and sidewalks, and other commercial development projects. Eric has been a key member of larger design teams, including the Joint Use Schools Project and Prince Albert Victoria Hospital Expansion, providing civil engineering services to general contractors.  In addition to his municipal engineering work, he currently manages Catterall & Wright’s Transportation Group, ensuring the successful execution of transportation-related projects.

Eric is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Saskatchewan (APEGS). He actively contributes to the engineering community by volunteering with the University of Saskatchewan College of Engineering, where he has mentored second-year design groups for the past several years. His dedication to his profession and the next generation of engineers underscores his commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in the field of engineering. Eric enjoys staying active with his family and being outdoors as often as possible: hiking, camping, golfing, and snowboarding.
