Ryan has been working in municipal design and drafting since 2015. He began as a student, completing all three of his work terms with Catterall & Wright. In 2018, he graduated from the Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist program at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology in Moose Jaw, SK.

After graduation, Ryan returned to Catterall & Wright to start his career as a designer and drafter. Over the years, he has contributed to a wide range of civil land development drafting and design projects, including municipal repairs and upgrades, public subdivision land development in Saskatoon, and private site development across Saskatchewan and Canada.  Ryan’s role has since evolved into that of Assistant CAD Manager, where he leads a team of designers and drafters. He provides technical support, conducts reviews, and offers guidance on a diverse array of projects. Ryan balances the technical requirements and CAD deliverables while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. He is passionate about mentoring new staff on AutoCAD Civil 3D, sharing his expertise, and training them to optimize workflows for greater accuracy and efficiency.  With extensive experience in design and drafting, Ryan specializes in using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Vehicle Tracking to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models. His areas of expertise include servicing plans for residential and commercial land development, focusing on site grading, water distribution systems, sewage collection systems, force mains, and roadway construction.

A lifelong resident of Saskatoon, Ryan enjoys exploring the city’s beautiful parks and trails with his family and dogs. He also loves camping and canoeing across Saskatchewan’s fantastic lakes and rivers.
